Thought I'd start up a thread to keep things running. One season over and now greener pastures on the horizon so post up all transfer activity whether it be rumours, done deals or just wishful thinking.

To start things up who do we see leaving the club???

I think the only 4 out of contract are Beckford, Hughes, Ankergren and Marques. Becks and Hughesy to sign new contracts, Casper and Rui to leave. Deadwood like Tres, Robbo, Dickov and Sheehan to go too.

Blimey tommy, this is quick off the mark innit? The dust hasn't settled, and no doubt heads are still a bit fuzzy from the celebrations.
Saying that, let me get my 'thinking head' on and come up with a list of wants and don't wants

i hope we get started on building our team for the championship straight away.nothing worse than leaving it late and missing out on key signings.would like to see billy sharp the first one in.we should have no problems attracting players that are capabale of playing in this league

Jamie Ward from Sheff United linked with us not really a great replacement for Beckford, BUT link also goes on about how we are after Nick Montgomery hope he does sign for us!

But... this is the Mirror, and as such, every self-respecting Leeds United fan should ignore everything they write.

Driving into work this morning; was thinking about the last time we managed to achieve promotion to the top flight, under Wilko. Realise times have changed, big time, since then - but, for those too young to remember, Wilko's way forward (after years of secondt tier obscurity) was to 'think big'. He went for one inspirational signing (Strachan) and built a team around him. He added another half dozen big names - each with their own strengths.

Think Grayson needs to take a leaf out of his formenr mentor's book - and needs Bates to back him. No point in packing the team with journeymen now.

We've all bemoaned the lack of quality and leadership in midfield, for most of this season...

So the question is: Who could be our Strachan-type signing for Summer 2010?

Ideas?

Well I reckon with clubs being relegated from premiership and championship there is going to be a lot of players will to move and we could be an attractive new club... and if Lennon takes over at Celtic there could be a lot of quality players getting the boot there.... Get rid of Robinson, Naylor, Doyle, Hughes, Marques, Lowry, McSheffrey, Kandol, Dickov... and think we should promote some youngsters as squad players, Hatfield, Whitwell, Hatfield i think these lads if given the chance could be of great benefit instead of Dickov, Watt and Lowry....

Gary Hooper and Billy Sharpe (I don't think Becks would do bad in the Championship)... It's not like we couldn't afford him though, It would be far cheaper to give him a good contract than say pay £3-4m on either Hooper or Sharpe (+ wages)... Never know?

Fuck me though, lets get Paddy back and fill the gaps in the defence. Parker will be great and Aidy a quality prospect.

... Fuck it, let's nick Bullard and Kilbane from Hull? :D

Keeping you safe!

He's only a figurehead though, isn't he? Perhaps we might find out about the real owners, sometime soon?

Think the stumbling block might be the wages Everton are allegedly willing to pay him. No way can we compete with Premiership wages.

Same goes for any of the so called "big names" coming down from the Prem. Most of them will be on big bucks, way outside our wage structure.

Much better going for the likes of Sharpe - who have both proven they can cope at Championship level - and are in the right age bracket too.

Not sure where you get those figures from? Reckon you'd easily get both of them for £4m?
