Just read that the guy was 30 years old and was with the away fans inside the ground, and whatever happened, did so just after half time.
No Stoke fans were involved and a 25 year old man is in custody 'helping police with their enquiries'.
Everything else is very vague with the normal thing of no further statements at this time.

RIP.

No way should someone go to watch a game of footie - and end up dying.

Condolences.

According to the reports i have read he was hit on the head by a dustbin.

The guy arrested was from preston who must be a blackburn fan as it happened in the away end.

If you end up fighting with your own fans then somthing is badly wrong.

RIP.

Just read the 'dustbin' story. What a twat! RIP fella. Sad story, and thought these kind of dark days were over with.

The latest theory is he said for someone to throw the bin in the air and he would header it.

If this is true then he only has himself to blame.

We're all sympathising, and then I read this......

Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller was arrested after an incident at a nightclub on Sunday morning, the football club said on Monday.
Fuller was accused of assaulting a 21-year-old man in the bar area of JFK nightclub, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Staffordshire Police said the victim suffered minor facial injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
The incident, at around 1am on Sunday, came just hours after Stoke's 3-0 Premier League victory over Blackburn. A statement on the club's website read: "The club can confirm that Fuller was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning following an incident in a nightclub in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. We will be making no further comment at this time.''
.....very professional uh??

Or...

Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll on assault charge

Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll has been charged with assault following a fight at a nightclub.

A man suffered minor head injuries during the incident at Blu Bamboo in Newcastle's Bigg Market area on 7 December.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Mr Carroll, 21, of Prestwick, Northumberland, will appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on 25 February.

Echo those sentiments.

(mind you I could change my opinion if it was Ridsdale)
