Whats your opinion Lads? Is Naylor good enough? personally I think weve got better options in Bromby, Rui and Kisnorbo.

Rui better than Naylor???

What exactly has Naylor done wrong?

For me, his arrival triggered a complete turn around in our defensive fortunes. He'd be my first choice, alongside Kisnorbo - who's been immense.

The other player, who you don't even mention, is Lubo. Like a different player this season - and would be my first choice should either Naylor or Paddy be injured. Seems Larry agrees too?

He hasn't been half the player since he returned from injury, whilst Rui has been on top-form. It's a tough one but I can see where he's coming from. Nayl's got straight back into the first team on account of his captaincy, which seemed wrong considering Rui and Kis had formed an unstoppable partnership.

In order of preference, I'd still go for:

Kisnorbo/ Naylor

Kisnorbo/ Lubo

Kisnorbo/ Rui

Lubo/ Naylor

Still, it's a close call. Guess we should be thankful to be blessed with so many quality centre halves, at present?

When Naylor signed last season he immediately sorted out the defence and injected a bit of passion into the entire team. No questioning his commitment and desire. Yet this season his performances havent equalled that of last season. But he still remains solid none the less. I beleive his performances are being overshadowed by Kisnorbo who has to be the signing of the season. I have been to 12 games so far this season and seen in the flesh what Kisnorbo is all about. He runs the show. He controls the defence and in some situations he has even been up in Naylors face telling him whats what. Naylor is still a superb leader and organises the team well on the pitch but recently Kisnorbo is slowly showing us who the real boss is. Next season, Paddy is the man.
Forever and ever we'll follow our team

Totally agree about Paddy. What a signing! Must be one of the best defenders to grace our team since Prem days. At this level, he's an absolute worldbeater!

What? Based on THIS season? Nayl's has been shit at times and carried by Kis. The order for me is;

Kis/Rui

Kis/Naylor

Naylor/Rui

Followed by any combination featuring Lubo. It's not that I think he's done badly, but much like Casper he's hardly played in a game where the opposition have had a chance.

In all honesty, there's not much between any of them this season, is there? We've got the defensive strength in depth that most other League 1 clubs can only dream about.

There isn't, no. However, Naylor looks a yard off the pace at times and I just don't believe he'd have got back in the team so easily had it not been for the captaincy and Rui's injury. Rui and Kis looked simply unstoppable, and had the harder games. We've been beating teams in second gear of late.

Is it really the defence though, or is it just Kis keeping them at bay. In fairness, half the teams we've played have barely had a shot, which is more a credit to the attacking side of the team than the defensive one.

My major gripe is that Rui was much better than Nayl's and shouldn't have been replace simply because of his captaincy. Kis spent more time shouting at Nayl's in his first few games than he has done Lubo, Capser and Rui combined.
